Varnam is going good..I have learned up to part of the first jathi. I have been practicing but there are a few places that I am unsure of. Also, my birthday is coming up!! So is my dad's (same bday). I am wondering what to get him. I don't have a wishlist, just that my arangetram is awesome and it turns out great! :P
Yesterday I had the Vijaydashmi dance performance, where I finally got to dance with my 2010 group. We danced Bala Kanaka (a padam) and I danced for the beginners as a leader since I teach them on Wednesdays. Yesterday was a lot of fun, and I got to finally talk to all my 2009 friends and watch them dance a thillana. I started the begining of my Varnam, and so far everything is going good. Yesterday I also got an award for volunteering in the studio- looks like I am the 4th girl with the largest about of teaching/volnteering hours. Its nice to be a part of Shri Krupa, and I hope I stay in it for a long time!
It is Monday, and so many things are happening this week!!! On Wednesday Vishal Aunty is going to start my first private class for my arangetram. I am scared, but really excited at the same time! I might also be doing a solo dance (shivakama sundari) for the Vijaydashmi, which will be my first performance alone. Lots of things are happening as I said before, as well as two big tests for math and vocabulary... :|
Oh well, I still think it is going to be a great week.

327 days to go! We did Yoga with Ayushi, walked 2 miles- well almost; I cheated and got a ride back from Usha for half the way. We ate a LOT of junk food for the rest of the day. I guess I pigged out, while Poorvi was too busy squabbling with Sid.
This is a blog about my my Arangetram experience, and my mom and I will post as we count down the days until the big day! Today is Saturday, I went to dance class today, and learned our very first group dance for our 2010 group of Arangetram girls. We learned this fast paced dance, and I am so excited!!! This dance is going to be so much fun and I know it....even though I have only learned like four lines so far!
